Tech Minds Charity Golf Classic
To round out 2014, Impress Foundation, a nonprofit segment of Impress Labs, teed off at the inaugural Tech Minds Charity Golf Classic. Held at the beautiful Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, the event brought together some of the kindest minds in the high tech industries in support of Make-A-Wish® Arizona in helping to further research on childhood cancer.
A shotgun start kicked off a perfect December day in Arizona, where over 60 golfers joined in to play 18 holes at the pristine Monument Course. The event was filled with entertainment, contests and, most importantly, time spent with Wish Kid Ambassadors who are the inspiration behind this great cause.
Tech Minds was hosted by Total Facilities Solutions and Polsinelli. Through their generous contributions and those of our event sponsors, Impress Foundation was able to donate over $20,000 to Make-A-Wish Arizona to help support the mission of granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
A long-drive competition led by professional and member of the US Long Drive team, Damien Payne, helped raise additional proceeds for the G1VE a Buck Fund; an organization created to encourage individuals to donate $1 in support of childhood cancer research.
The day wrapped up at sunset with an evening reception, awards ceremony and stories of encouragement and inspiration from Wish Kid Ambassadors close to the heart of the Impress family. The courage and resilience of these children touched all who attended and motivate us to set our aspirations even higher for our 2015 event.
We thank all who supported the event and were a part of our first tournament. Stay tuned for details for 2015!

About G1VE a Buck Fund
G1VE A Buck Fund is the brainchild of Gail Lopez, the founder, CEO and parent of a childhood cancer survivor. The concept is simple—if everyone gave just one dollar, one buck, childhood cancer research that is not being funded could be accomplished!
